What a crazy week for weather. Over here in Los Angeles, we had our first rain since June — it rained for TWO WHOEL DAYS straight! I know that seems crazy to most of you, but believe me, that’s a big deal out here.
People don’t know what to do. When locals see rain while they’re driving, they have a this knee-jerk reaction — a mix of fear, insanity, and stupidity — it’s like they have to crash their car. It’s the only way out. Some just turn the wheel and drive right into the palm trees to get it out of the way. They can’t drive. Can’t handle the moisture.
As a East Coaster myself, I realize the stupidity of the previous two paragraphs. It’s fucking weather. I don’t understand how people can’t deal with it. Luckily for us, though, we have the internet. So the “2009 L.A. Rain Crisis” got to captured live on Conan’s Late Night show…
And shit, it snowed in New England last night, didn’t it? That’s crazy. Someone out there make me a snow angel. I’ll make you a sand angel.
