vampireweekend

I know what you’re thinking: “Oh no he di’n't!!”

Well, yes I did. I managed to snag Vampire Weekend’s ENTIRE new album (Contra) before it’s released and put it up here for you all to listen to. You don’t wanna know who I had to screw to get this. Paul Schaeffer might look like a nice guy, but he is one mean dude when his pants are off–

Wait, Vampire Weekend posted it on their website for free?! That bald piece of….

You can hit that nifty “Play All” button in the top right corner to kick the full album off, or you can just click one song at a time. The real sick tracks I’ve found so far is “Horchata,” “Cousins,” and “Giving Up the Gun.” Keepers, each and every one of them.

This sophmore set definately has a lot more electronica in it than their debut ( ‘08), which was much more string and poetry heavy. But that’s not a bad thing. Lead singer Ezra Koenig tested out his electro-rock chops on his Auto-tuned collaboration with Ra Ra Riot — called Discovery. They dropped that album over the summer.

But I like this a lot more than I liked that. Maybe two worlds colliding isn’t all that bad after all…
