Don Rickles — one of my favorite comedians of all time — stops by Letterman to talk turkey and getting sexy at an old age.
If you haven’t seen that HBO documentary on Rickles (called Don Rickles: Mr. Warmth), you really should. You can watch it here, so you have no excuse. I caught it on TV one night and it blew me away. His stand-up is BRILLIANTLY FUNNY (he does a set about 7 minutes into the movie). Same caliber as Rodney Dangerfield, with that same ability to pack 20 jokes into one minute of dialogue.
And here’s a real bonus…Don Rickles on the [real] Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and McMahon in 1984. Even 16 years ago, he was still talking about his wife…
